About Wayne, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Wayne is a village found in portions of Kane and DuPage County, IL. As of 2010, this community was home to nearly 2,500 residents. Historically, Wayne was known for being a prominent farming research and horse breeding center, and it was most well known for breeding draft horses known as the French Percheron. The community has been committed to the preservation of its equestrian reputation and nature, offering numerous equestrian paths as well as riding centers, boarding stables, and horse farms.

Wayne is home to a variety of noteworthy attractions. Its primary landmark is the Dunham Castle, and this stone structure that was built from 1878-1882 is situated near the famous Oaklawn Farm. The Dunham Woods Riding Club, which was founded in 1936, is also still active in the community and hosts a variety of private parties and social events throughout the year.

This community also celebrates several important events during the year. On the first Saturday of October, Wayne Day is held with a picnic, kite flying event, and evening bonfire. Flag Day is also celebrated each June with a picnic and parade.

Summers in Wayne tend to be quite hot with high humidity, with average high temperatures reaching the mid-80s. Typical of the Upper Midwest, the area will also experience severe weather, including dangerous thunderstorms. When dangerous summer weather and high temps move into the region, Wayne residents will rely on their home air conditioning systems to stay comfortable and safe.

Later in the year, a cool and comfortable autumn will turn to winter, and Wayne residents will shut off their air conditioners in favor of their furnace. The winter months can be frigid, with highs only reaching an average of the upper-20s in January. Overnight temperatures will plummet even further, so it is essential that residents have access to a functional and reliable climate control system in order to keep their families safe.
